About the Role
Our client, a well‑established commercial painting company, is seeking a Part‑Time Office Manager / Bookkeeper to support day‑to‑day office and financial operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a small, team‑oriented environment and wearing multiple hats. You’ll play a key role in keeping the office organized, managing basic bookkeeping, and supporting payroll and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Payroll

Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) in QuickBooks

Process payroll, including tracking and approving employee time

Prepare basic financial reports for external accountant

Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records

Office Administration

Organize project files and maintain office documentation

Order office supplies and support daily office operations

Handle bank deposits and occasional local errands

Assist with general office organization

HR & Support Functions

Assist with onboarding new employees

Maintain employee records and timekeeping documentation

Provide administrative support to ownership and field teams

Project Support

Use Excel to track project‑related data and support operations

Qualifications

2+ years of bookkeeping, office management, or similar experience

Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks (AR/AP + Payroll) required

Basic Excel skills (data entry, tracking, simple spreadsheets)

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Comfortable working in a small office with a variety of responsibilities

Nice to Have

Experience in construction, trades, or service‑based industries

Prior experience processing payroll and managing employee time
