Full‑time, in‑office (5 days per week)

Overview
A well‑established law firm in the western suburbs of Chicago is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its Estate Planning Practice Group. This is a full‑time, in‑office position supporting attorneys with sophisticated estate planning and estate administration matters.

This role is best suited for a detail‑oriented legal assistant who has hands‑on estate planning experience, enjoys client interaction, and thrives in a deadline‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, revise, and proofread estate planning and estate administration documents

Provide day‑to‑day legal and administrative support to estate planning attorneys

Maintain client files, calendars, and deadlines with a high level of accuracy

Communicate with clients regarding document execution, scheduling, and routine follow‑ups

Assist with document execution and coordination of signing appointmentsSupport general practice group and office needs as required

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of legal assistant or legal secretary experience

Estate planning experience is required

Strong organizational and time management skills with a deadline‑oriented mindset

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional, positive, and approachable demeanor

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, in‑office environment

Technical Skills

Proficiency in WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, and Excel required

Experience with WealthCounsel, Time Matters, and Juris is a plus

Compensation

$60k+
