
Design Engineer II

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Design Engineer II will perform various tasks assigned by the Senior Engineers.
Develop the ability to independently conduct site surveys with a complete understanding of the project's intent and analyse and propose design solutions and installations.
Conduct audits and surveys as needed independently; record identifying equipment function, tags, location, capacities, photos, etc., and trace piping and ductwork onto field documents.
Convert field survey data into usable formats for plan and project development; assist in sizing, replacing, and retrofitting new equipment.
Other duties may include copying/printing/scanning, assembling equipment submittal packages, and assisting in preparing work scope documents.
Participate in the company’s project improvement process by refining standard design practices, calculating spreadsheet templates, updating and establishing standard procedures and practices, and collecting supporting documentation for various projects.
Qualifications
Degreed Mechanical or Energy Engineering engineer.
2+ years of related experience.
Obtained EIT/FE designation; in the process of obtaining PE.
Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other related software.
Computer savvy, with advanced knowledge of computer systems.
Willing and able to understand and learn new technologies.
Demonstrated proficiency with energy simulation software; reasonable understanding of energy management.
