CKA Architects is a boutique, residential design studio focused on high‑end custom homes and major renovations throughout the Peninsula and larger Bay Area. Our work is grounded in thoughtful design, detailing, and a commitment to seeing projects through from concept to completion.

Responsibilities of the Position

Full‑time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, in‑office position

Develop and coordinate drawing sets from schematic design through construction documents

Manage project permit submittals

Produce clear, well‑detailed, buildable drawings

Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, landscape, interiors, etc.)

Interface with clients, contractors, and local agencies

Support construction administration through site visits and responding to RFIs/submittals

Manage deadlines across multiple projects with increasing independence

Required Qualifications

3+ years in an architectural office

Demonstrated experience producing construction drawings

Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D design in CAD/BIM

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or meaningful experience in the architecture and construction industry

Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Organized, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple projects

Commitment to improving technical and professional skills over time

Have a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Single‑Family Custom Residential

Strong understanding of wood‑frame construction and detailing

Strong understanding of construction best‑practices and procedures

Proficiency with Vectorworks, Microsoft Suite, Photoshop, Asana

Compensation / Benefits

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 / year, commensurate with experience

10 Paid Calendar Holidays + accrued vacation/PTO/Sick hours

Annual Performance Bonus
