Job Description
Dates: June 1, 2026 – June 26, 2026 (No School June 19)
Locations & Times:
Grades K-5 – Early Start: Chinn, English Landing, Graden (with Southeast), Hopewell, Line Creek, Prairie Point (with Gerner), Tiffany Ridge (with Renner) – 8:15 am – 3:15 pm.
Grades K-5 – Traditional Start: Angeline Washington (with Hawthorn), Union Chapel – 9:15 am – 4:15 pm.
Grades 6‑8: Plaza Middle School (with Congress), Lakeview Middle School (with Walden) – 7:15 am – 2:15 pm.
Work Hours: Determined by the Summer School Administrator; Location and schedule will be based on enrollment.
$18.23 per hour. Support staff in the same position for summer school receive their current hourly rate of pay.
Qualifications
High School diploma
Working knowledge of computer software
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs to chest height occasionally
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills
Positive interpersonal skills
Library experience preferred
Essential Job Functions
Maintain an orderly appearance of the library media center.
Shelf all media materials.
Supervise students in the library media center.
Assist staff and students in locating and using information, media, and equipment.
Guide staff and students in the use of the Online Catalog.
Prepare bibliographies and reserves as needed.
Generate and disseminate overdue notices and reports.
Communicate with classroom teachers and staff.
Other Job Functions
Assist in preparing and maintaining educational displays and materials that reinforce the district curriculum.
Maintain usage schedules of library media center media materials and equipment.
Operate the circulation desk.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on media and equipment as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
