About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic

Project Manager

to lead a high‑visibility data and business intelligence initiative supporting an enterprise operational status information system for a federal agency located in the Washington DC metropolitan area. This role goes beyond traditional project management—you'll also act as a hands‑on business analyst, working closely with stakeholders to shape data‑driven solutions and deliver meaningful insights. You'll play a key role in transforming how the organization uses data—leading efforts from initial assessment through BI platform design, dashboard development, and end‑user training. If you enjoy bridging business needs with technical solutions and thrive in complex, mission‑driven environments, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact. The work location is onsite at the company site with occasional trips to the client site for meetings, also this role includes up to four international trips annually. This will be a 1‑year project. Position is contingent upon contract award.

What You'll Do
Lead with Impact

Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, building strong, trusted relationships

Guide a cross‑functional team to successfully deliver complex, multi‑phase projects

Ensure all work aligns with project goals, timelines, and quality expectations

Drive End-to-End Delivery

Own the full project lifecycle—from planning and requirements gathering to implementation and knowledge transfer

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and milestones

Lead execution across key phases: data assessment, BI solution design, and training

Shape Data-Driven Solutions

Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements

Analyze business processes, data sources, and reporting needs

Help define KPIs and performance metrics that power impactful dashboards

Collaborate with technical teams to bring BI solutions to life

Engage Stakeholders

Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and design reviews with diverse teams

Work closely with leadership and functional areas such as operations, HR, IT, and engineering

Navigate geographically dispersed teams and multiple time zones with ease

Manage Risk & Ensure Success

Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies

Manage scope and change control to keep projects on track

Monitor progress and communicate status clearly and consistently

Deliver Quality Results

Oversee the creation of key deliverables, including reports, documentation, and training materials

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet user needs

Ensure final products are practical, sustainable, and easy to maintain

Support Secure & Compliant Delivery

Ensure adherence to federal cybersecurity and data protection standards

Promote best practices for handling sensitive data and information

What You Bring
Required

Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years project manager experience

Experience managing data, analytics, or BI‑focused projects

Ability to perform both project management and business analysis functions

Experience working in federal, public‑sector, or highly regulated environments

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Microsoft 365, Excel, SharePoint, cloud platforms)

Preferred

PMP® certification (or equivalent)

Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools

Familiarity with financial or facilities management systems (Oracle, etc.)

Experience with integrated workplace management systems (ex: Archibus, IBM TRIRIGA, Planon, iOffice, etc.)
