What to Expect
Tesla's Industrial Energy team is seeking an exceptional Sr Videographer to serve as our field video lead capturing Megapack deployments, product launches, and technical educational content. This role demands a versatile visual storyteller who can capture compelling photo and video content across diverse locations worldwide, bringing Tesla's energy storage solutions to life through powerful imagery. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy spending time on the road and in the field and can travel extensively.
What You'll Do
Field Production Leadership: Operate as the primary boots-on-the-ground video lead, independently managing on-location shoots at Megapack installations and events globally
Cinematography & Photography: Capture high-quality video footage, audio, and still photography that showcases Megapack technology, installations, and impact
Drone Operations: Execute advanced aerial cinematography using drones to capture unique perspectives of large-scale energy storage projects and Megafactories
Production Coordination: Work with the Video Producer to prepare crew, talent, gear, and location logistics in advance of shoot days
Vendor Management: Collaborate with the Video Producer to ensure international video production vendors meet Tesla's creative and technical standards
Content Delivery: Support DIT, media management, and initial footage preparation and selection to accelerate the post-production handoff. Work closely with Post-Production and Video Producer to ensure footage meets editorial and technical requirements
Equipment Management: Maintain and operate professional camera systems, lighting, audio, and drone equipment in various field conditions
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a cinematographer/videographer with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical excellence and creative vision
Expert-level drone operation skills with relevant and up-to-date certifications (Part 107 or international equivalents). Proficiency with professional cinema cameras (RED, ARRI, Sony, Canon, etc.) and audio recording systems
Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling
Experience with interviewing and directing on-camera talent
Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
Ability to work independently and make creative decisions in the field
Willingness to travel extensively (50%+ of time) domestically and internationally

Expected Compensation
$80,000 - $156,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
