Overview
Job Title: Scheduling Administrative Support
Duration: 3–6 Months (Potential for Conversion)
Location: Onsite – 5 Days/Week (1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Overview
Our client is seeking a Scheduling Administrative Support professional to assist with production scheduling and configuration activities within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on coordinating shop floor documentation, supporting scheduling operations, and ensuring smooth production flow.
This is a highly administrative, detail-oriented role with exposure to manufacturing processes and scheduling systems. Candidates interested in long-term growth may transition into a more technical scheduling role.
Key Responsibilities
Create, print, organize, and distribute cut sheets, layouts, and production orders to shop floor personnel
Maintain and update production schedules in ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, MII, or similar)
Prepare clear production orders and sequence sheets to communicate priorities
Manage both electronic and physical documentation including schedules, BOMs, labor updates, and configuration records
Support daily scheduling updates and communicate changes to production and field teams
Assist with purchase orders and order-related communications
Coordinate with configuration engineering for special or custom production requirements
Communicate with suppliers regarding material availability and delivery updates
Perform data entry and basic BOM/labor updates; escalate complex issues as needed
Provide general administrative support (printing, scanning, filing, etc.) to the scheduling team
Support plant operations to ensure schedule accuracy and workflow efficiency
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of experience in production scheduling support, manufacturing admin support, or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
Experience with ERP/MES systems such as MS Dynamics, SAP, or similar preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing/plant environment
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
Basic understanding of CAD drawings or blueprints
Exposure to production scheduling or shop floor operations
Experience working with internal customers or cross-functional teams
Technical background or familiarity with engineering environments
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
Comfortable with frequent walking and handling physical documents on the shop floor
Ability to work independently while following direction from leadership
