Job Description:

Sign On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Shift: Nights - 6:45pm - 7:15am

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment and care of neonatal and pediatric patients. This position provides respiratory therapy services to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role involves performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. In addition, this position collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Performs hemodynamic procedures, including arterial cannulation.

  • Participates in continuous learning and professional development to maintain and enhance skills.

  • Performs respiratory therapies, recommending the most efficient delivery method per protocol.

  • Utilizes patient assessment skills, protocols, chart review, and multidisciplinary team consultations to determine therapy efficacy and make appropriate recommendations and changes.

  • Conducts airway maintenance, including but not limited to: manual resuscitators, suctioning, extubating, tracheostomy tube insertion, trach tube changes, oral and nasal pharyngeal airway insertion, endotracheal intubation, and procedural respiratory support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Maintain records and communicate information effectively.
Utilize and adapt to computer systems and applications, demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills.
Exhibit critical thinking and patient assessment skills, with the capacity to evaluate and modify treatment plans using patient care protocols.
Optimize the use of equipment based on orders or protocols.
Ensure adherence to infection control standards.
