Cedar Springs Public Schools has two vacancies for Young Fives teaching positions starting in the 2026-2027 school year. We are excited to engage with quality candidates who are not only result‑driven but also committed to inspiring children to develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create a classroom environment that fosters individuality, curiosity, and a passion for learning.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and adapt the curriculum to meet the individual needs of each student through differentiated instruction.
Establish effective, positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, other support staff, and administrators.
Apply sound principles of learning and motivation in the planning, implementation and assessment phases of instructional delivery.
Utilize a variety of quality classroom management techniques to maintain a highly productive learning environment.
Collaborate with grade‑level members in planning curriculum, units, and classroom lessons.
Commit to the district’s school improvement process and curriculum development effort.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate for Elementary K-5 all subjects (K-8 All Subjects Self‑Contained Classroom).
Early Childhood endorsement (ZS, ZA, or PreK-3 grade band) preferred.
A high degree of knowledge in teaching at the elementary level.
Knowledge of and ability to apply the Michigan Content Standards provided by MDE.
Ability to apply technology integration to promote student learning.
Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel.
Ability to analyze assessment data to plan student intervention.
Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills.
Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters.
High level of flexibility.
