Overview
This GS-14 non-supervisory attorney supports RSC-CENTCOM/SOCOM (C/S) at CENTCOM HQ, MACDILL AFB, Tampa, Florida. The selectee provides legal support and advice to the Commander, DLA RSC-C/S, as legal counsel to the Regional Commander, DLA-C/S, in the Central Command Region. The attorney advises on matters involving Contract and Fiscal Law, Administrative Law, US and Local Military Labor Law, Ethics and Standards of Conduct (including ethics training, OGE 450 certifier, and related issues), and Military Justice. Advises in the areas of International, Operational, Environmental and Intelligence Law with emphasis on DLA operations within Central Command.
Responsibilities
Provide legal support and counsel to the Commander, DLA RSC-C/S, and the Regional Commander, DLA-C/S, in the Central Command Region.
Advise on Contract and Fiscal Law, Administrative Law, US and Local Military Labor Law, Ethics and Standards of Conduct (including ethics training and related issues).
Provide guidance on Military Justice and related matters within the DLA Central Command Region.
Offer expertise in International, Operational, Environmental and Intelligence Law as it pertains to DLA operations within CENTCOM.
Qualifications
Senior GS-14 general government attorney (non-supervisory).
Experience providing legal advice and counsel at a high level within a combatant command or equivalent environment is preferred.
