Job Description
Teller I
at a TD Store. Role involves delivering customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and educating customers on TD products and services.
Responsibilities
Execute TD's brand promise to customers by consistently delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the store.
Perform customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently.
Process cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits with high accuracy.
Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures, escalating to management as necessary.
Engage in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding appropriately.
Understand customer preferences with banking and educate on self‑service/digital options that meet needs.
Act as an advocate for customers by conducting needs‑based conversations, offering financial and digital solutions, and/or referring to appropriate partners.
Make sound decisions and provide timely problem resolution, escalating complex issues to management.
Ensure compliance with operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
Verify customers' identities following customer authentication policies and procedures.
Balance cash drawers, ATMs, TCDs / TCRs as necessary.
Adhere to safe deposit box procedures, operations, and guidelines.
Maintain responsibility for cash drawers and vaults including appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times.
Ensure confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day.
Follow the importance of and practice dual control.
Follow all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.
Utilize bank tools and processes to detect, address and prevent fraud.
Complete all required in‑classroom and online training by established due dates.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Six months of work‑related experience preferred; equivalent can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience.
Ability to work during operating hours including weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled.
Demonstrated customer service skills preferred.
Strong organizational skills.
Detail‑oriented.
Ability to function in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
Excellent communication skills; concise, clear and consistent.
