Job Summary

Pride Health is seeking an experienced Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) / Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) for a contract opportunity in Brooklyn, NY. This role focuses on tumor registry operations, oncology data abstraction, and accreditation program support, particularly aligned with NAPBC standards.
Responsibilities

Perform tumor registry abstraction and maintain accurate oncology data
Support NAPBC (National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers) compliance and program development
Assist in developing policies, protocols, and documentation for accreditation
Collaborate with physicians and leadership to ensure regulatory compliance
Prepare reports and present data during cancer committee meetings
Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
Coordinate meetings, maintain records, and document minutes
Assist with accreditation site visit preparation and execution
Support quality improvement and value-based care initiatives
Maintain organized documentation for oncology programs and audits
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of tumor registry experience in an acute care setting
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Experience with oncology data abstraction and registry systems
Familiarity with accreditation standards (NAPBC/CoC preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Certifications & Education

RHIA or RHIT (or eligible) preferred
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NAPBC accreditation and oncology program development
Ability to manage surveys, audits, and corrective action plans
Strong data analysis and reporting skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary healthcare teams
