Job Summary
Perform a wide variety of clerical duties requiring independent judgment to support staff members and/or operations of the organizational unit or program. Duties may expand in scope and complexity and develop into departmental-program responsibilities. May supervise 1–2 lower‑level personnel.
Responsibilities
Perform initial departmental‑program duties, communicating with other departments, customers, and stakeholders as required.
Process routine paperwork and enter data into a department log or database for customer service.
Develop and maintain procedures for document imaging, keep a log of imaged files, and serve as a lead worker over other imaging positions.
Prepare requisitions for the purchase of supplies and enter information into an automated system.
Compile information from various sources and prepare specialized reports; format reports according to department standards.
Assist the manager: keep appointment schedule, prepare travel arrangements, issue directives on the manager’s behalf, and relieve the manager of administrative matters.
Perform duties related to property control, purchasing, and safety in addition to other clerical duties.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Two years of experience in administrative services.
Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
