Position Summary

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented licensed Social Worker to join our team of compassionate and dedicated clinical professionals. The Social Worker provides social services to all inpatient and day hospital patients.
Responsibilities

Social Worker: Inpatient - PRN
Participates as an integral professional member of a multidisciplinary treatment team led by the psychiatrist.
Facilitates the therapeutic milieu on the treatment unit.
Performs social work interventions as directed by the treatment team, the treating psychiatrist and/or the Lead Social Worker.
Obtains and assesses social history information and reports this to the treatment teams.
Performs discharge planning/case management from the day of admission.
Provides group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, substance abuse group/didactic, and/or couples therapy as deemed appropriate by the treatment team, the treating psychiatrist, Director of Clinical Services and/or Lead Social Work.
Acts as liaison for hospitalized patients with various community agencies and resources.
Attends treatment team conferences and completes treatment plans.
Documents in the medical record.
Salary

New Salary for Limited License starts at: $64,308
New Salary for Fully Licensed starts at $70,985.60

Qualifications

Master of Social Work degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and/or a MA degree required.
Current License in the State of Michigan as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), LLMSW, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Limited Licensed Counselor (LLC) required.
Experience on an inpatient psychiatric unit preferred.
Employee must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluation, etc.) to be considered for an internal transfer.
