Role Overview
We are hiring an Inpatient Social Worker to support adolescents and young adults (ages 5 to 35) with an average stay of 7‑10 days. This role includes case management, therapy facilitation, and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychosocial services for patients.

Develop and update treatment and discharge plans and lead discharge meetings.

Provide psychoeducation to patients, caretakers, and the treatment team.

Communicate with external providers, agencies, and payer networks.

Lead child, adolescent, and young adult therapy/process groups on inpatient units.

Complete the Kids: Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) training and apply the CPS assessment and planning tool.

Advocate for patient‑centered, culturally appropriate, age‑appropriate care.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work.

Licensed in Minnesota (LGSW required; LICSW preferred).

At least 2 years of experience in a mental‑health care setting, preferably with children and adolescents.

Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to coordinate care with staff, shift between tasks, and make timely decisions under pressure.

Compensation
$32‑$38.60 per hour, depending on licensure and experience.
