Job Description Summary
Dual Registered Technologist reports to the Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Radiology and CT/MRI/Mammography Dual Registered Technologist performs high quality radiology/CT/MRI or mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician.

Responsibilities

Operate imaging equipment: Radiology and CT, MRI or Mammography, following radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements.

Provide radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed.

Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required.

Avoid excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines.

Perform patient education, handover, and support during examinations.

Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology or related field.

2-4 years of work experience as a registered radiologic technologist and experience in CT, MRI or Mammography.

Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24‑month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training such as military.

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).

Post‑radiology certification in relevant modality area.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or equivalent).

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs (infrequent).

Ability to work indoors, from elevated areas, and in confined spaces.

Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs unassisted.

Maintenance of 20/40 vision and hearing acuity.

Ability to perform fine motor movements and handle equipment with dexterity.

Additional Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.

At least 2 years of multi‑modality experience.

Registered with ARRT Advanced Modality Registration.

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
