Business Development Manager focused on DeFi partnerships, responsible for driving protocol growth through strategic ecosystem relationships. The role centres on expanding market presence, increasing Total Value Locked, and accelerating user adoption through structured, data driven partnership strategies across decentralised finance.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, assess, and prioritise high impact DeFi partnerships including protocols, DAOs, liquidity providers, and institutional stakeholders aligned with long term protocol objectives
Own the full partnership lifecycle from initial engagement through negotiation, execution, and ongoing relationship management
Structure and deliver mutually beneficial partnership agreements that generate measurable commercial and ecosystem value
Continuously analyse the evolving DeFi ecosystem to identify emerging trends, innovative protocols, and strategic growth opportunities
Design and execute go to market initiatives to accelerate adoption across targeted user and capital segments
Act as a protocol representative at industry events, governance forums, and community initiatives to build brand visibility and partnership pipeline
Develop and implement strategies to materially increase Total Value Locked through retail and institutional capital inflows
Use analytics and user behaviour insights to optimise conversion funnels, reduce onboarding friction, and unlock growth levers
Build and maintain relationships with institutional participants, asset managers, and large capital allocators to support scalable liquidity deployment
Key Requirements
6+ years of business development experience within DeFi or crypto native environments
Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, token economics, liquidity mechanics, and ecosystem dynamics
Proven ability to source, evaluate, negotiate, and close complex strategic partnerships
Highly autonomous operator with strong ownership mentality and outcome driven execution style
Experience managing senior external stakeholders and collaborating cross functionally with internal teams
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem solving skills and adaptability in fast moving environments
Strong communication skills with a collaborative, transparent, and values driven approach
Fluent in English, written and verbal
Established relationships across DeFi protocols, DAOs, investors, or institutional participants preferred
Exposure to growth experimentation, funnel optimisation, or capital acquisition strategies advantageous
Salary $100‑140K + bonus.
