Job Summary
AmeriLife is seeking a technically strong Senior Analyst, IT Asset & Configuration Management to support the execution and ongoing maturity of our enterprise CMDB, Software Asset Management (SAM), and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) programs. This role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, responsible for maintaining data accuracy, lifecycle governance, and tooling effectiveness within ServiceNow. The Sr. Analyst will work closely with IT leadership, Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, and outsourced operations to ensure accurate asset and configuration data that supports operational reliability and regulatory compliance, including but not limited to NYDFS Part 500 requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ServiceNow experience, disciplined process execution, and comfort operating in a complex, hybrid enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
CMDB Execution & Data Quality Management
Configure, maintain, and support the ServiceNow CMDB in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
Support ServiceNow Discovery, service mapping, integrations, normalization, and reconciliation activities.
Monitor and remediate CMDB data quality issues, including completeness, accuracy, and compliance metrics.
Maintain CI records, class standards, and relationships in accordance with AmeriLife configuration standards.
Prepare CMDB reporting and documentation to support audits, reviews, and operational decision‑making.
IT Asset Management (ITAM) Operations
Execute day‑to‑day hardware and software asset lifecycle activities, including intake, tracking, maintenance, retirement, and disposal.
Maintain accurate records in ServiceNow SAM Pro and HAM Pro, supporting license compliance, reclamation, and entitlement tracking.
Reconcile asset data with procurement, finance, and inventory records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
Support fixed‑asset reconciliation and depreciation alignment with Finance.
Maintain accurate vendor, contract, and licensing data related to software and hardware assets.
Governance, Compliance & Audit Support
Support compliance with NYDFS Part 500 and other regulatory requirements as they relate to asset and configuration management.
Maintain SOPs, standards, and audit evidence related to CMDB and ITAM processes.
Assist with internal and external audits (SOX ITGC, NYDFS, SOC 2, etc.) by validating data accuracy and producing required documentation.
Ensure proper documentation and tracking of secure hardware handling and disposal processes.
Operational Support & Vendor Coordination
Serve as a key operational liaison with offshore resources for asset tracking, inventory updates, break/fix activity, and receiving processes.
Monitor dashboards, exception reports, and queues related to asset and configuration activities.
Escalate data issues, gaps, or risks to IT leadership as needed.
Support standardization of ITAM and CMDB practices across AmeriLife affiliates.
Technical & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Infrastructure, Endpoint, Integration, and Security teams to ensure accurate CI and asset data flows into ServiceNow.
Support Security and Compliance teams with asset inventory data used for vulnerability management and risk assessments.
Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture and PMO to ensure technology changes are reflected accurately in the CMDB.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
4–6 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, or IT Operations.
Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, SAM, and/or HAM in a mid‑to‑large enterprise.
Working knowledge of ITIL v4, particularly ITAM, CMDB, and Change Enablement.
Experience supporting infrastructure and endpoint asset lifecycles (servers, endpoints, network, cloud).
Familiarity with common software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).
Experience working in hybrid environments with managed service providers.
Preferred
Experience supporting regulated environments (NYDFS, SOX, HIPAA).
Familiarity with AmeriLife‑relevant platforms such as ServiceNow, Workday, Oracle, Salesforce, Intune/SCCM, CrowdStrike, MuleSoft.
ITIL or ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CIS Discovery, CIS SAM, CIS HAM).
Experience supporting enterprise IT governance or audit readiness initiatives.
Success Metrics (First 12 Months)
CMDB completeness at least 90% for in‑scope CI classes.
Software license compliance accuracy at least 95%.
Hardware asset tracking accuracy at least 98%.
Improved ServiceNow Discovery coverage across prioritized environments.
Timely and accurate audit support with minimal findings related to ITAM/CMDB.
Reduced data exceptions and reconciliation gaps across affiliates.
