
Human Resources Manager

Zapp EV is building the first real premium EV charging network designed for how people actually live, move, and spend time. We are building a full operating platform: flagship urban hubs, microhub density, fleet infrastructure, corridor execution, and the software and operating backbone required to make that network function at scale. As the company grows, we want to build the people layer correctly from the start.
About the Role
Zapp EV is hiring an HR / People Ops Manager to help build the company’s people infrastructure during an early but high-growth stage. This is not just a recruiting coordinator role and it is not a maintenance HR seat. This is a build role for someone who can help install hiring systems, onboarding systems, people operations, process, policy, and scaling discipline as the company grows. The right person will help ensure that Zapp EV does not scale chaotically.
Responsibilities
recruiting and hiring process coordination
onboarding systems and employee setup
people operations structure and documentation
policy rollout and process discipline
benefits coordination
payroll coordination in partnership with Finance during early stage
employee lifecycle support
manager support and organizational process consistency
culture-building systems as the company grows
Qualifications
significant experience in HR, people operations, talent operations, recruiting operations, or startup people-building roles
experience building onboarding and people systems in growing companies
strong hiring process discipline and organizational follow-through
comfort operating in a founder-led, high-accountability environment
strong communication and documentation skills
ability to work cross-functionally across executives, managers, and future hires
good judgment, strong discretion, and practical problem-solving ability

make hiring and onboarding feel sharp and professional
support culture intentionally, not accidentally
operate with both speed and discipline
help turn a growing team into a real organization
Pay range and compensation package
Current target compensation framework:
Target annual bonus: 8%–12%
Equity: meaningful early-stage equity participation, structured based on final scope, experience, and role design
