Information Technology Manager
Zapp EV, Los Angeles, CA, United States
Zapp EV is building the first real premium EV charging network designed for how people actually live, move, and spend time. We are not building isolated charging lots. We are building a full operating platform: flagship urban hubs, microhub density, fleet infrastructure, corridor execution, and the software and operating backbone required to make that network function at scale. As the company builds, internal systems readiness matters. We need someone who can help create a secure, functional, reliable internal technology environment from the ground up.
About the Role
Zapp EV is hiring an IT Manager / Internal Technology Lead to help build and run the company’s internal technology backbone during a critical early-growth phase. This is not a maintenance helpdesk role. This is a build role for someone who can set up internal systems, device standards, company access controls, onboarding technology workflows, workplace network readiness, and technical support processes as the team grows. The right person will help make sure the company is technically ready as new teams, executives, and departments come online.

internal IT support standards and escalation flow

internal technical documentation and process discipline
partnership with leadership on internal systems planning as the company scales
Qualifications
significant experience in internal IT, systems administration, workplace technology, enterprise support, or startup internal technology environments
experience setting up company technology systems in growing organizations
strong understanding of devices, networks, internal SaaS tools, account provisioning, and technical support workflows
experience managing access, permissions, and internal systems hygiene
ability to operate in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
strong communication and documentation skills
comfort building process and standards while also staying hands‑on
good judgment, professionalism, and reliability
Required Skills

startup workplace technology
systems administration
device and identity management

high-growth company internal infrastructure
Preferred Skills

bring strong technical order to a fast-moving company
Pay range and compensation package

Target annual bonus: 8%–12%
Equity: meaningful early‑stage equity participation, structured based on final scope, experience, and role design

medical, dental, and vision coverage
paid sick leave
PTO / vacation
company holidays
other standard full‑time employee benefits in effect at the time of hire
Work support includes:
company laptop
company phone or phone stipend as needed
approved business travel / transportation support as needed for the role
Final compensation will be structured based on experience, fit, and final scope.
Location
Los Angeles strongly preferred. This role is expected to operate close to the team, the office environment, and the company’s physical build as internal systems are installed.
