Position Summary
C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Accounts Payable Analyst
to join our accounting team. This role plays a critical part in supporting day-to-day financial operations with a strong focus on construction accounts payable processes, including job costing and subcontractor payables. This position is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. You’ll work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency across all payable functions—helping keep our projects running smoothly from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Job Costing
Process vendor invoices and accurately code costs to appropriate jobs and cost categories
Ensure proper documentation and approvals are obtained in alignment with company procedures
Maintain accurate job cost records and assist with cost tracking and reporting
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Ensure costs are properly recorded by job, phase, and cost code
Collaborate with project managers and operations staff to resolve accounts payable issues
Identify process improvements and support system and workflow enhancements
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–10+ years of accounts payable experience
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting in the construction, heavy highway, or similar industries, including job costing and cost allocation
Experience with Spectrum ERP is a plus
Understanding of job cost reporting and construction workflows
Exposure to general ledger activities and broader accounting functions
Skills & Competencies
High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
