
Quality Technician (2nd Shift)

Overview
The Quality Technician is responsible for conducting routine tests and inspections on products, assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with data collection and supplier claims. The technician performs capability studies, first-piece inspections and records results, and assists with ISO compliance and training. The Technician will work closely with production employees to ensure inbound material is correct, and that outbound products meet quality standards. The Technician participates in special projects as needed and works with other departments to ensure a quality product.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine tests and inspections on products
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with data collection and supplier claims
Perform capability studies, first-piece inspections and record results
Assist with ISO compliance and training
Work closely with production to ensure inbound material is correct
Ensure outbound products meet quality standards
Participate in special projects and collaborate with other departments to ensure a quality product
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; further education preferred
1+ year of experience in manufacturing
Ability to read blueprints/drawings
Experience with calipers, micrometers and ability to read a tape measure
Ability to work well both independently and with a team
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
Experience with various computer systems, including ERP systems or online quality systems
Previous experience in CNC, Laser Burning or Oxyfuel Burning preferred
