Quality & Process Support Technician (2nd Shift)
The Quality & Process Support Technician (2nd Shift) supports manufacturing by performing in-process and first-piece inspections, maintaining gauges and quality documentation, and assisting with audits and PPAP activities. The role also provides hands-on production support through tool changes, basic machine troubleshooting, and process adjustments to ensure consistent product quality. This position works closely with the Production Supervisor and contributes to smooth, continuous operations.
This position is:
Located onsite at our Falcon Lakeside facility in Stevensville, Michigan.
Work hours are on 2nd shift: MondayThursday, 3:00pm1:00am (4 x 10-hour days) with occasional overtime working Fridays as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform in-process inspections on the production floor and through CMM to ensure product conformity.
Conduct first-piece inspections using both floor inspection methods and CMM verification.
Complete internal quality audits and incoming material inspections as required.
Prepare, organize, and store gauges; assist with gauge calibration activities as directed.
Maintain and update quality assurance documentation assigned.
Support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities when requested.
Carry out additional quality assurance functions as needed.
Perform and verify tool changes on production machinery.
Assist in resolving machine alarms and support basic maintenance activities to maintain continuous production.
Make necessary adjustments to machining and assembly processes to uphold product quality standards.
Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to support training of production personnel when needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
Work with external customers and internal partners, team members, leadership across other areas of the organization.
Collaborative, creative and fast-paced office and manufacturing floor.

Position Requirements:
High School education or equivalent
Production machining experience
Readily visible capability in the machining processes
Ability to read part drawings
Ability to read measuring instruments
Working knowledge of cutting tools
Working knowledge of CNC controls and able to edit programs in "G" code
SPC experience.
Computer experience.
Gauge calibration experience.
Ability to lift 30 pounds repeatedly and to be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of the individual or others.
