PIPE FITTER (CERTIFICATION REQUIRED)

The Role
Pipefitters install complex piping systems aboard ships and in shipyards, handling more than 23 miles of pipe on a submarine and over 230 miles on a carrier. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, fabricating, installing, inspecting, and testing piping systems. New hires attend a Fundamentals of Pipe Fitting class and receive ongoing training throughout their career.
Must Have
Certificate or diploma in pipe fitting or a directly related field (commercial pipefitting, plumbing, HVAC, irrigation, welding, hydraulics, or storm/wastewater management) from a recognized post‑secondary institution or military program.
Ability to work at extreme heights or in small confined spaces.
Physical capability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb.
Strength to lift 40 lbs.
Availability to work assigned shifts as production needs arise.
Nice to Have
High school graduation or equivalent.
