About the role:
As a Mechanical Engineer I with the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB), you will support plant safety and reliability efforts for our customers. This will include instrumentation and control, pumps and motors, and electro‑mechanical product support.
You will report to the Manager of Procurement Engineering and will be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is a mobile role that is required on site 2‑3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and procurement requirements for various mechanical products
Work as part of a cross‑functional team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, and the supplier base
Provide technical input during the proposal process
Develop and/or maintain Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP
Determine critical equipment characteristics to support equipment qualification and commercial dedication activities
Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, evaluate test results and review final reports
Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions
Provide engineering support to manufacturing and shop operations for a variety of products
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical is required
0‑4 Years relevant engineering related experience
Knowledge of mechanical components including, but not limited to pumps, valves, mechanical seals, motors, etc. is desired
SAP knowledge, especially production, requisitioning, and material master data management
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400.00 to $73,000.00 per year.
