RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a leading organization in the steel and industrial solutions space to identify a driven Business Development Manager to support growth across the Texas territory.

This organization is more than a traditional steel service provider—they are innovators and relationship builders focused on long-term growth and strategic partnerships. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding market presence across OEM and Construction sectors by identifying opportunities, developing strong partnerships, and delivering tailored solutions.

This is a high-impact, outside sales position requiring frequent travel throughout Texas.

What You’ll Do

Drive New Business: Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities within the Texas market

Grow Key Accounts: Strengthen relationships with existing customers while re-engaging dormant accounts

Strategic Selling: Partner with internal teams to develop tailored solutions aligned with client needs

Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity

Pipeline Management: Maintain a strong sales pipeline, forecast accurately, and leverage CRM tools

Relationship Building: Establish long‑term partnerships with decision‑makers across purchasing, operations, and engineering

Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless execution across pricing, logistics, and service delivery

Additional Duties: Support special projects and initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum 3+ years of sales or business development experience in: Steel, metals, manufacturing, industrial distribution, or related industries

Experience managing OEM or large industrial accounts

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Core Competencies:

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals

What Sets You Apart

5+ years of experience in industrial or metals‑related sales

Demonstrated success in a remote, self‑directed sales environment

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, travel‑heavy role

Additional Requirements

Must reside in Texas

Ability to travel up to 80% (local and overnight)

Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed
