
Business Development Manager

Compensation: $160K–$185K Base + 20% Bonus
Position Summary Kodiak Labor Solutions is hiring a high-impact Business Development Manager to drive growth across pipeline, facilities, renewable energy, natural gas, and carbon capture markets. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while building long-term strategic partnerships.
This is not a passive sales role. You’ll be expected to actively shape market strategy, open doors, and convert opportunities into revenue while leading and mentoring a Business Development team.
Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities across energy and infrastructure markets
Develop and execute territory growth strategies aligned with company objectives
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
Lead the full lifecycle of business development—from prospecting to contract execution
Develop and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements
Collaborate with internal teams to align operations with business development efforts
Manage and mentor a Business Development team
Maintain CRM data, reporting, and pipeline tracking
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions
Required Qualifications 6+ years of business development experience in pipeline, facilities construction, renewable energy, natural gas, or carbon capture
Proven track record of closing deals and meeting or exceeding sales targets
Established network within the energy and infrastructure markets
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Experience managing territories and developing sales strategies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Experience leading or mentoring business development teams
Familiarity with SharePoint and internal collaboration tools
Work Environment & Physical Demands Remote flexibility with travel as needed for client meetings and industry events
Combination of office and field/client‑facing environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven setting
