Embedded Software Developer (Drive Systems)
Contract/resident engineering opportunity onsite with client in Novi/Northville, MI.
Responsibilities
Develop control software for torque, regen, derates, REX functions.
Implement algorithms, state machines, and interfaces.
Integrate with vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Create unit, integration, and HIL test support.
Build data pipelines and analytics for vehicle/test data.
Maintain documentation, traceability, and CI/CD workflows.
Support diagnostics and OBD functionality.
Develop embedded software for drive systems and range extender functions, including control logic, diagnostics, and data processing pipelines.
Support full software lifecycle from design through validation.
Qualifications
4–8+ years in embedded automotive software development.
Strong C/C++ skills and real-time system experience.
Experience with CAN, UDS diagnostics, and vehicle networking.
Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and CI/CD tools.
Python/data analysis experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
