
Sr. Construction Project Manager

Role Purpose
Role Purpose : Manage the delivery of projects for Federal, State and Municipal customers in the D.C. Area/Northern Virginia territory. Provide leadership to lower-level Project Managers in the performance of their duties. Represent NORESCO during the Construction phase of the project to assure contract requirements are met with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Documentation: Manage the bid process, including pre-qualifying subcontractors, developing bid packages and evaluating subcontractor bids.
Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and vendors; develop subcontracts and purchase orders.
Prepare daily construction reports and monitor the status of the project to ensure contract compliance.
Work with subcontractors and vendors to ensure that their closeout and O&M documents meet NORESCO requirements.
Generate and produce meeting minutes and appropriate correspondences required for contract compliance.
Development and management of project schedules including organizing on-site construction activities.
Interface with customers and supervise contractors on a daily basis; coordinate subcontractor access at owner’s facilities.
Manage NORESCO purchased material and equipment by coordination, delivery, receipt and inspection.
Witness and inspect subcontractor work for quality control, cost control, schedule and completeness.
Coordinate, conduct and document inspections of work with the Owner’s representative to achieve project substantial and final completion.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction; oversight of onsite commissioning and close-out activities.
Manage all aspects of the project with minimal supervision.
Development of future projects by conducting scope review, constructability, pricing and subcontractor site walks.
Manage project managers and provide mentoring and advice based on previous experience.
Conduct risk analysis for decision making when issues impact constructability, budget, and/or savings.
Safety
Development of project and subcontractor safety plans.
Daily monitor and document subcontractor activities ensuring safety compliance.
Read and comply with all NORESCO safety requirements and maintain a safe work environment at both the office and in the field.
Financial
Preparation of project budgets and manage projects to within project budgeted amount.
Track and approve subcontractor monthly invoices; ensure accuracy and compliance with NORESCO requirements.
Preparation of accurate monthly project financial projections for subcontractor monthly costs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years of project leadership experience.
10+ years of experience managing energy infrastructure or MEP type projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering highly preferred.
Federal Contracting Experience highly preferred.
Previous mentorship experience.
EM-385 knowledge highly preferred.
OSHA 30 certification.
USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management Certification.
Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
