Summary & Objective
The Team Lead in the Electropolish Department supports production operations by guiding, training, and supporting team members on the production floor. This role helps ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while supporting the Department Manager in meeting departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities
People

Ensure company standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded

Assist the Department Manager with leading, developing, directing, and coaching team members

Identify, address, and document performance issues as they arise; elevate to the Department Manager as appropriate

Write and deliver annual performance reviews for department team members

Provide timely recognition for strong performance and positive contributions

Train team members on parts, processes, and techniques to ensure quality and production rate expectations are met

Build and maintain professional, productive working relationships within the department

Keep team members productive and engaged to minimize unnecessary downtime

Safety

Perform routine safety walks and correct identified issues

Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure the production floor is tour‑ready by identifying and correcting safety hazards and keeping work areas clean and organized

Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, respirators, or other required equipment

Monitor and ensure compliance with safety systems and documentation, including

TrueChem monitoring (tank temperatures, pH readings, chemical additions, tank maintenance)

Hoist inspections, containment pans, airline inspections, and related documentation

Production

Lead the Electropolish Department in the absence of the Department Manager

Maintain the 75/25 work allocation (75% production, 25% administrative/other duties)

Operate and remain fully trained on all Electropolish department lines and equipment

Perform job setups to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow

Ensure all tools, materials, and resources are available at the start of each job

Build and maintain production loads to keep work continuous for the team

Delegate jobs, print reports, and prepare paperwork to support efficient execution of production plans

Perform hourly check‑ins with team members to ensure work is progressing accurately, timely, and at expected rates

Verify weekly that team members understand their production rates and provide feedback on improvement expectations

Monitor each step of the production process to ensure quality standards are met

Create production schedules for the department as needed

Assist with quoting, pricing approvals, and quoting tasks in the absence of the Department Manager

Operate a forklift to move production materials and other necessary items

Use computer systems daily to print paperwork, labels, reports, and production documentation

Communicate with other departments throughout the workday to support workflow and resolve issues

Identify and communicate required maintenance or repair needs to the Department Manager

Quality

Create and develop first articles from initial concept through final production

Develop, finalize, audit, and continuously update new and existing process cards

Validate that jobs are set up correctly to ensure successful execution by team members

Verify team members are following process cards accurately, including highlighting and procedural requirements

Review and audit process cards for completeness and ensure errors are corrected

Update production rates, identify discrepancies, and close gaps as needed

Review corrective actions daily and ensure follow‑through within the department

Visually inspect team output to ensure quality standards are consistently met

Perform final quality sign‑off on job trackers confirming all quality requirements have been satisfied

Communicate with the Quality Department on quality‑related matters

Communicate with customers as needed and occasionally meet with customers to address needs or resolve issues

Requirements

Demonstrates Arrow Finishing Core Values

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Must be a Citizen of the United States of America or have a current Green Card

Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

Strong leadership/supervisory skills

General knowledge of Electropolish terminology

Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality

General computer skills and the ability to work with basic computer programs

Ability to balance workload effectively and stay organized

Strong basic math skills

Ability to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions

Ability to work and collaborate with others respectfully and professionally

Ability to be dependable and punctual, work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. on occasion

Ability to use hand tools requiring fine dexterity and precision

Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requires

Ability to withstand occasional odors

Work Environment
This position location is on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the team member may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
