
Biotech Technical Support

Responsibilities
Provide on-site and remote application support for end-to-end NGS workflows: sample QC, library preparation, and help the liquid handler work in labs.
Guide customers in experimental design, controls, and best practices to achieve reproducible, high-quality results.
Workflow Optimization & Troubleshooting
Diagnose root causes of workflow performance issues (e.g., low yield, insert size shifts, high duplication, low on-target rate, uneven coverage, contamination) and propose corrective/preventive actions.
Automation Enablement (Tecan / Beckman / Hamilton working experience preferred)
Support assay implementation and optimization on Vazyme liquid handlers, including deck layout suggestions, protocol adaptations, reagent handling guidance, etc.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure robust automated performance and smooth tech transfer.
Training & Technical Content
Deliver customer onboarding, workflow workshops, and troubleshooting training for bench scientists and lab leadership.
Create and maintain technical materials such as application notes, quick-start guides, troubleshooting trees, FAQs, and webinar content.
Cross-functional Collaboration (Commercial + R&D)
Partner with Sales/BD to support technical evaluations, POCs, and demos; provide pre-sales/post-sales input and competitive positioning.
Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and collaborate with Product Management/R&D to drive continuous improvement and new application opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Master\'s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
Experience:
1-3 years of hands-on experience in NGS sequencing workflows, automation platforms such as Tecan, Beckman, Hamilton (or similar) for NGS sample prep/library prep, and experience supporting clinical labs is strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Working knowledge of NGS
Customer-facing Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical topics into clear guidance for diverse audiences.
Travel:
Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ across all U.S. states.
