Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner (NP) Central Valley, Northern California

We are seeking an enthusiastic, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our established hospital medicine program as a Nocturnist in Californias Central Valley. As part of The Hospitalists of Modesto Medical Group, you will provide inpatient care across a dynamic network of three hospitals:

• Doctors Medical Center, Modesto (Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center)

• Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock

• Doctors Hospital of Manteca, Manteca

These facilities offer a market-wide, collaborative hospitalist model with robust subspecialty support.

Position Overview

• Primary responsibilities include cross coverage of admitted inpatients and assisting with new nighttime admissions.

• Collaborate closely with hospitalist physicians and APP colleagues on the night team.

• We are expanding our team to increase advanced practice provider coverage at Doctors Hospital of Manteca and Emanuel Medical Center, with opportunities to focus on admissions and receive cross-training for potential ICU coverage.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an NP in California (required)

• Prior inpatient or hospital medicine experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates will be considered

Position Details & Benefits

• Employment Type: W-2

• Schedule: 7-8 shifts per block; flexible scheduling to maintain worklife balance

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

• Night Coverage: 12 physicians and 1 NP/PA per shift
