TRISS Operative (Trunk Road Incident Support Service)

Contract: Fulltime / 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, day shift.
BEAR Scotland is a leading provider of highway maintenance services across Scotland. We manage and maintain over 2,000km of Scotland’s trunk road network, tackling just about every imaginable task and working round the clock to help keep Scotland moving.
The South-East Trunk Road Unit spans 506km through some of the busiest sections of the country, from central Scotland to through the Scottish Borders. Trunk roads in the South East range from the major multi-lane motorways across the central belt to roads through villages in the borders.
The South-East Unit includes 870 bridges and structures including the iconic Queensferry Crossing and Forth Road Bridge, as well as other major bridges such as the Kincardine Bridge and Clackmannanshire Bridge.
We have an exciting opportunity for a TRISS Operative to join our existing team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities and Activities
Carry out patrols and inspections on predefined routes
Assist Police and members of the public
Traffic monitoring
Respond to incidents as required
Offer assistance/ report break-downs
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Confident and considerate attitude.
Full UK driving licence (Essential)
Experience & qualifications in road maintenance, traffic management and Health & safety are desirable, however full training will be provided.
