
Warehouse Associate

NSB Omega is searching for a Warehouse Associate for our Oil & Gas Client in Lake Charles, LA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Each Warehouse employee is required to perform the following warehouse functions:
Material Receipts (Receiving)
Outgoing material shipments (Shipping)
In-refinery material delivery (Deliveries)
Material kitting (Kitting)
Material Issuance (Issue)
Coordination of material repairs (Repairs) – Only required for the Repair Coordinator
Proficient experience working with SAP (ERP) system in the above-mentioned functions.
1. Receiving & Shipping
Accept and sign for deliveries from distributors and suppliers.
Interact with delivery couriers to facilitate the receiving process.
Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy.
Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies upon arrival and document any issues.
Enter received items into SAP (ERS) inventory management systems to maintain accurate records.
Organize and store received goods in designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring easy access and safety.
Coordinate with other departments, vendors, and procurement to resolve discrepancies.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding the status of incoming shipments and inventory.
Complete necessary documentation for received goods, including non-conformance reports and corrective action forms.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and inspections for future reference.
2. Delivery
Assist in planning and coordinating delivery routes to ensure timely delivery of material.
Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules and routes.
Communicate effectively with delivery drivers to provide support and resolve issues.
Monitor delivery progress and address any delays or challenges that arise.
Collaborate with the receiving team to optimize delivery processes and improve efficiency.
3. Kitting
Interpret work orders, pick lists, reservations, or Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify the specific components, quantities, and assembly instructions required for each kit.
Accurately locate and pick individual parts from various inventory storage locations, ensuring part numbers and descriptions match the order.
Assemble components into complete kits.
Use SAP staging tool to input components and accurately record kits.
Securely package completed kits using appropriate materials (bags, bins, boxes, or pallets).
Generate and apply staging labels, barcodes, and other identification tags to finished kits, ensuring they are clearly marked for proper tracking, routing, and use.
Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks to minimize errors, prevent production line downtime, and ensure customer order satisfaction.
Stage completed and verified kits in designated areas for seamless hand‑off to the production, assembly, or shipping departments.
Proactively monitor the kitting queue and component availability, communicating any potential shortages or issues to a supervisor or the inventory team in a timely manner.
4. Issue
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring that stock counts are updated regularly to reflect current quantities.
Monitor inventory levels to identify when stock needs to be replenished and coordinate with suppliers and vendors to place orders for new inventory.
Use SAP (ERS) to perform issuance or returns of materials to ensure accurate and efficient inventory.
Conduct regular physical counts of inventory to verify accuracy against recorded data and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area, implementing effective storage solutions to optimize space and facilitate easy access to products.
5. Repairs
Receive, inspect, and process damaged inventory or returned items, coordinating with machine shop and external vendors to schedule repairs.
Process RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) forms, create work orders, and document repair histories in inventory systems.
Expedite repairs, communicate updates to stakeholders, and ensure vendor compliance with repair standards.
Identify process improvements for repair workflows and assist with cost adjustments for repaired/repacked items.

Minimum 5 years Warehouse experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
Professionalism that results in a positive, collaborative, and proactive approach with Phillips 66 staff, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Highly attentive to detail with impeccable standards of integrity.
Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish.
Ability to read and write in English and at a level that is generally accepted as literate.
Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Must have a valid forklift driver’s certification for standard warehouse forklift.
