The Opportunity
This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from babies to adults. Brands include Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna®. Casa Grande is one of Abbott’s leading nutrition manufacturing plants in the U.S.
What You’ll Work On
Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality and safety system
Manufacture liquid adult, pediatric, and medical nutritional products
Lift and handle raw ingredients during weighing, staging, and manufacturing processes
Operate scales, portable pumps, container rinsers, and homogenizers
Perform hand cleaning, clean-in-place (CIP), cleaning-out-of-place (COP), and routine housekeeping
Interact with computer systems integrated into the manufacturing process and document steps per work orders and job procedures
Prepare, operate, monitor, and document bulk slurries for blending operations, heat treatment processes, and controlled weigh systems
Operate and monitor computer-controlled CIP systems for manufacturing equipment (e.g., tanks, heat treatment systems)
Receive and unload bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals
Position Details
Pay Rate: $24 per hour
Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend off with a 4-week rotation
Rotation Schedule
Week 1: Mon OFF, Tue OFF, Wed 12 hours, Thu 12 hours, Fri OFF, Sat OFF, Sun OFF
Week 2: Mon 12 hours, Tue 12 hours, Wed OFF, Thu OFF, Fri 12 hours, Sat 12 hours, Sun 12 hours
Week 3: Mon OFF, Tue OFF, Wed 12 hours, Thu 12 hours, Fri OFF, Sat OFF, Sun OFF
Week 4: Mon 12 hours, Tue 12 hours, Wed OFF, Thu OFF, Fri 12 hours, Sat 12 hours, Sun 12 hours
This schedule offers stability and work-life balance while providing opportunities for overtime.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
Knowledge of food processing techniques and documentation requirements
Ability to read and follow work orders, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and operate powered industrial vehicles
Good mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a plant production environment (preferably in drug, food, or beverage manufacturing)
