
Design and Engineering Scheduler

Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Planning
Develop and maintain detailed design and engineering schedules.
Sequence project tasks, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
Integrate design schedules with overall project timelines.
Monitor schedule progress and identify potential delays.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather scheduling inputs.
Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate updates.
Ensure alignment between design deliverables and construction or production schedules.
Track deadlines and notify teams of upcoming milestones.
Resource & Workflow Management
Assist in resource planning and workload distribution.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend adjustments.
Support workload forecasting and staffing needs.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, and progress updates.
Maintain accurate records of schedule revisions and approvals.
Provide schedule risk analysis and mitigation recommendations.
Process Improvement
Recommend improvements to scheduling processes and workflow efficiency.
Support implementation of scheduling tools and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of scheduling, project coordination, or project controls experience.
Proficiency in scheduling tools such as:
Microsoft Project
Smartsheet
Asana or similar workflow tools
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting design, engineering, or construction projects.
Familiarity with design workflows and deliverable phases.
Knowledge of critical path scheduling methods.
Experience working in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
Problem-solving mindset
Ability to manage multiple deadlines
