Williams Contracting is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from pre-construction through final completion. This role balances field oversight with office coordination while managing schedules, quality standards, subcontractors, and client expectations.
Position Overview
You will oversee 1 to 3 active projects at a time and work directly with company leadership to ensure successful execution from start to finish. This is a hybrid role that includes both job site presence and office-based planning. We specialize in custom residential homes and select commercial improvement projects, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, communication, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Oversight
Manage projects from setup and demolition through final turnover
Coordinate each phase of construction including framing, finishes, cabinetry, flooring, paint, fixtures, and final details
Confirm site readiness before scheduled trade work begins
Ensure completed work aligns with plans, specifications, and company standards
Scheduling and Procurement
Order materials based on approved selections and project requirements
Verify quantities, finishes, lead times, and delivery schedules
Track purchasing timelines and communicate delays proactively
Maintain proper storage and protection of materials on-site
Trade and Vendor Coordination
Schedule subcontractors throughout each project phase
Provide updated plans, specifications, and site expectations
Maintain accountability for quality, professionalism, and cleanliness
Resolve field questions quickly and escalate issues when needed
Quality Control and Closeout
Perform regular site inspections to verify workmanship and progress
Review layouts, finish details, and installation accuracy
Document corrections and manage completion punch lists
Prepare projects for final cleaning, walkthroughs, and client handoff
Experience
What We Are Looking For
Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience
Background in custom residential construction or commercial tenant improvements
Proven success managing projects through full lifecycle completion
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and finish systems
Ability to read plans, elevations, and selections documents
Working knowledge of MEP coordination in remodel or new construction settings
Experience with project management software such as Procore preferred
Leadership Qualities
Ability to lead subcontractors with professionalism and accountability
Strong communication with field teams, clients, and office staff
Organized documentation habits including notes, photos, and checklists
High standards for quality, jobsite organization, and customer satisfaction
