Role Summary
As a Finance Intern, you will work directly with global teams to impact the present and future of Salesforce, focusing on driving Agentic innovation, business partnering, and data‑driven insights for Finance within the Salesforce Finance organization.

Internship Start Dates

Group 1: May 18 – Aug 7

Group 2: June 1 – Aug 21

Group 3: June 15 – Sep 4

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will range from financial statement review and analytics, business compliance audits, and accounting, to operational process improvements and driving team connection within the organization. You will contribute to finance transformation by exploring, experimenting with, and applying technologies to enhance efficiency and decision support. The opportunities include:

Produce technology capabilities, such as building simple automations for processes or tasks

Design analytical models (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, or prescriptive) to support better decision‑making

Integrate data flows across multiple systems to streamline data retrieval and analysis

Assist in the creation and refinement of digital decision support tools and design, build, or maintain dashboards in business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to automate financial reporting and track key performance indicators (KPIs)

Contribute to initiatives involving advanced analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI), to solve complex financial problems and enhance decision‑making

Help in communicating data‑driven insights through compelling storytelling and visualizations to various stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

Currently studying Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a similar field

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the willingness to speak in front of senior leaders and large groups

Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets modeling and data analytics skills, with a foundational understanding of how to apply data insights

Intellectual curiosity, fueled by a proactive approach to continuously expand one’s skillset, particularly in digital technologies, data, and AI

Highly motivated, self‑aware, collaborative, and responsive

Preferred Requirements

PowerPoint/Google Suite presentation building skills, with an aptitude for data storytelling and visualization to convey financial insights effectively

Complex and creative problem‑solving abilities, including translating business requirements into data‑driven or AI solutions

Comfortable with changing requirements and priorities

Passion for process improvement and challenging the status quo through technological innovation and automation

Detail‑oriented to ensure accuracy in completion of tasks

Results‑ and service‑oriented, with a strong ability to make and communicate progress with incomplete information

Ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced, quickly changing environment

Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence all levels within the organization, collaborating with finance and technology teams

A team player, willing to go above and beyond to deliver excellence and to do whatever is required to get the job done

A fun, curious, and open‑minded personality, eager to learn new things and not afraid to ask questions

Familiarity or foundational knowledge in programming languages (e.g., Python), data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas), machine learning concepts, or AI tools

Interest in data governance, data quality frameworks, and data architecture principles
