Compensation
$55,000-$65,000 per year

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Engineering role based in Duncan, SC. The Engineer will support the successful delivery of overhead crane and hoist projects through estimating, design coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. This position works closely with internal teams and customers to ensure projects meet technical requirements, timelines, and applicable industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating new crane projects including materials, fabrication, installation, and testing

Structural design to conform to AISC, IBC, and CMAA standards

Ability to lead and encourage others in a team atmosphere

Interaction with customers on a technical level regarding crane loads being transmitted to their building and floor/foundations

Scheduling of fabrication, and wiring shop labor activities to meet customer timelines

Provide engineering support to the Engineering manager, Sales, and Project Managers

Develop tools and standards to optimize estimating accuracy and efficiency

Provide drafting support to the Lead Drafter based on current drawing work loads

Develop/Implement 3D structural analysis to conform to applicable codes and standards

Work with fabrication, wiring, and sales to improve product and processes

Work with vendors on quotes, and implementing new product designs

Site surveys and reverse engineering systems to give sound engineering recommendations

Work towards getting Professional Engineering certification

Willing to work 40+ hours a week (M-F 7AM-4PM)

Knowledge Requirements

4-year accredited degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Structural)

Preferred emphasis on Structural Engineering background

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, 2D AutoCAD, and 3D structural such as Revit or Advanced Steel

Ability to read blueprints and drawings

Ability to take limited input information and generate a sound engineering judgement

Skill Requirements

Ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy to understand manner (both written and verbal).This includes communication to blue collar workers up though upper management
