Overview
Electrician II – Industrial Electrician position on the Manufacturing team at American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO). Location: 531 Old Swede Road, Douglassville, PA. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, on-site. Role involves performing hands-on electrical work on custom crane and hoist equipment with emphasis on quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
What You’ll Do
Electrical Installation & Assembly: Perform electrical installations on overhead cranes and hoist systems; build and wire control panels, motors, push-button stations, and festoon systems; bend, thread, and install conduit per design specifications; assist with fabrication and installation of electrical supports and components.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with guidance as needed; apply electrical theory and practical troubleshooting techniques; collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve build issues.
Quality, Safety & Standards: Follow NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards; assist with equipment testing and verification prior to release; maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Team Collaboration: Work with Electrician I and III team members to complete projects; support team productivity and share knowledge as experience grows; take direction on complex work while building independent capability.
What We’re Looking For
Education
High school diploma or GED (required)
Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or technical training (preferred)
Skills, Experience & Attributes
3–5+ years of industrial or heavy equipment electrical experience
Experience with electrical installations in manufacturing or industrial environments
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Hands-on experience with control panel wiring and conduit installation
Developing troubleshooting skills with ability to solve standard electrical issues
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Safety-first mindset and willingness to follow established procedures

Licensing
State electrician license preferred but not required
Requirements
Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (including 10 C.F.R. Part 810, EAR, and/or ITAR), where applicable
Willingness to undergo a background check and pre-employment drug screen as per company policy
Ability to meet posted work schedule and required hours; reliable attendance and punctuality
Willingness to follow all company safety policies and wear PPE in shop areas
Willingness to complete required safety and compliance training
Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform confined-space work
