Amentum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Master Electrician
to support our operations in the Washington, DC area. In this senior-level role, you will oversee all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across complex facility environments. The Master Electrician ensures compliance with industry best practices, federal and local electrical codes, and Department of State (DOS) regulations while leading teams and coordinating high‑visibility electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and mentor teams of electricians and electrical technicians.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
Ensure full compliance with NFPA, NEC, industry regulations, federal standards, and DOS requirements.
Manage electrical projects from planning and design through execution and completion.
Conduct advanced troubleshooting of electrical systems and develop solutions for complex technical issues.
Perform and document routine and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
Review electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Enforce safety protocols and support Amentum’s commitment to a safe and secure work environment.
Required Qualifications
Valid Master Electrician License in MD or DC.
Active Secret Clearance.
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong knowledge of federal, local, and industry electrical codes, including NEC and NFPA standards.
Experience overseeing electrical teams and managing project workflows.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Qualifications
Experience working in government, secure, or high‑reliability environments.
Prior work supporting Department of State (DOS) requirements or similar federal agencies.
Familiarity with facility operations, building systems, or large‑scale infrastructure environment.
Compensation Details
$180,000-$200,000
