Job Overview
The Warehouse Associate (Material Handler) distributes either production or non - production items and materials to various locations throughout the warehouse. Materials may consist of purchased parts, in process parts, or finished goods.
Responsibilities
Follow company packing procedures and standards
Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy, reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
Confirms shipping details or special instructions
Collects and properly disposes of cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Work at different stations as needed
Inspect, weigh, and package products
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Typical work activities are sealing boxes and placing labels on packages
Place items in various containers, such as boxes and bags.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in Material Handling
Knowledge of inventory processes
Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven team player.
Required to work and make decisions independently
Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and accept constructive criticism.
Physical Requirements
Standing and/or walking for entire shift and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Bending and/or stooping repeatedly throughout shift
Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
Be able to work in a non climate-controlled environment
