Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Diesel Mechanic based in Plainville, CT. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, heavy equipment, and related machinery. Tasks will involve conducting preventive maintenance checks, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role requires close collaboration with the operations team to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance of machinery.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Diesel Mechanics and troubleshooting of diesel engine systems
Experience in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance
Expertise in handling Heavy Equipment repairs and management
Strong skills in implementing Preventive Maintenance plans
Ability to work on-site in a hands-on capacity
Knowledge of safety protocols and operational standards in machinery repair
Previous experience in construction or a similar industry is an advantage
Certifications related to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance are a plus
