Join our team at the 3M Lexington, KY plant as a Material Coordinator responsible for managing the flow of materials and ensuring accurate inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
Job Summary
This role supports production by receiving, inspecting, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, safe work environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare, assemble, and pack orders in accordance with customer and shipping requirements.
Verify incoming and outgoing materials against documentation; report and resolve discrepancies.
Receive, inspect, and distribute materials to appropriate departments or storage locations.
Process all shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions in SAP and freight carrier systems.
Support production by kitting orders, attaching drawings, and delivering materials as needed.
Maintain inventory accuracy and a clean, safe, and organized work environment with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED, verified prior to start.
Minimum one year of experience using computers for data entry, order processing, or transaction entry.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred:
Two or more years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
Experience using freight carrier systems such as UPS or FedEx.
Knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping processes.
Experience with inventory control and material handling practices.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, shipping documents, and purchase orders.
Experience following written procedures or standard operating instructions.
Attention to detail and accuracy in verifying orders and tracking inventory.
Benefits and Compensation
Full-time 1st shift 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Starting rate: $19.67 per hour, with a possible range up to $20.22 per hour.
Three weeks of paid vacation.
