The Field Service Technician is responsible to provide repair services to equipment at the customer location, maintain parts and equipment inventory to effectively perform repairs, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for customers. The field service technician would work in the twin cities as well as surrounding areas.
Diagnose equipment and complete necessary repairs at customer locations.
Repair equipment (coffee, juice, dish machine, laundry, etc.)
Accurate and timely documentation and record keeping, EMP
Training/testing for knowledge and proficiency
Proper use and operation of company equipment and property.
Update and maintain equipment to good working order.
Perform proper preventative maintenance
Document parts used on equipment to assist in inventory control
Responsible for van being clean and organized
Conduct all work in safe manner
100% safety record in both daily work and driving
Coachable with corrective action if needed
Communicate all safety concerns to Service Manager
Maintain positive working relations with co-workers and customers
Legendary customer service, courteous and professional – proper uniform
Respectful during all interactions, part of the solution
Positive attitude, willingness to help others
Education
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Skills And Qualifications
Good driving record (must be insurable at regular rates)
Mechanically inclined in areas of plumbing, refrigeration and electrical
Technical trouble shooting skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize events
Logical, mechanically inclined thinkingProblem solving ability (must be able to think of alternative solutions)
Willing to work with the public
Ability to do plumbing (soldering, pipe fitting, etc.)
Ability to move/lift 100 pounds
Physically capable of getting in and out of service van
Read and interpret electrical blueprints
Familiar with Microsoft products and be able to enter data
Some overnight travel may be required
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
