Structural engineering, construction technology, materials testing
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to work at the intersection of

Monitor fabrication and construction processes to ensure conformance with test specifications and quality standards
Analyse and interpret test data to evaluate performance trends, compliance, and failure modes
Prepare clear technical outputs such as calculations, reports, and presentations for external stakeholders and approval bodies
Address non-standard testing challenges by developing practical, technically sound solutions
Contribute to the development and adaptation of testing methodologies where established standards do not yet exist

Strong grounding in structural engineering fundamentals, including mechanics of materials and structural analysis
Experience with concrete and/or masonry systems, through design, testing, or research
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex technical problems and interpret structural test results using sound engineering judgement
Experience conducting technical literature reviews and engaging with codes, standards, and research documentation
Clear written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
What sets this role apart
Direct involvement in
full-scale testing and validation
rather than purely desk-based design
Exposure to
regulatory engagement and approval pathways
Opportunity to work on novel structural systems and materials before they reach industry-wide adoption
