Composites Technician in Themed Entertainment

The Composites Technician is responsible for producing high-quality composite parts, molds, and tooling using a variety of materials, processes, and equipment. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Produce composite elements using hand layup methods and machine/chopper gun spray techniques

Manufacture FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) and silicone molds from foam sculpts

Cut, trim, and process composite tooling and finished parts

Properly prepare parts for spray coatings and final assembly

Use HVLP spray systems to apply mold releases, primers, and other coatings

Apply polyurethane hard-coat systems to foam sculpts

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of commonly used composite materials

Properly care for and maintain materials, tools, and equipment to maximize usable lifespan

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

General Responsibilities

Achieve and maintain working knowledge of Company operational software

Accurately complete and track production elements using company quality control (QC) documentation

Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for all assigned tasks

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Consistently meet the Company’s expected quality standards

Effectively multitask and prioritize objectives to meet production deadlines
