Job Description

This role focuses on locating, installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and maintaining industrial and electronic systems, devices, and equipment by interpreting blueprints, schematic diagrams, and computerized control logic systems.

Responsibilities

Locate, install, test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain industrial/electronic systems, devices, and equipment.

Analyze and correct malfunctioning electrical/electronic equipment, variable frequency drives, generators, motors, transformers, switchgear, power supplies, converters, and safety relays.

Perform functional tests using ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and computerized diagnostic equipment.

Conduct production‑test activities, including functional testing and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic devices.

Execute lockout/tagout procedures for electrical systems.

Handle hookups, disconnects, and circuit load changes for transformers and voltage loads.

Verify grounding installations before energizing packages and control consoles.

Initial load generator set packages and ensure proper electrical configurations before closing output circuit breakers.

Monitor facility AC logs to maintain communication and safety practices.

Follow production‑test instructions and observe standard safety practices during test operations.

Materials, Tools, Equipment Used

Electrical AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLC systems, generators, switchboards, recording instruments, control and lighting circuits.

Cables, wires, tape, solder, insulators, fuses, switches, relays, screws, bolts, lubricants, and replacement parts.

Tools: soldering irons/guns, wire strippers, gauges, ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters, oscilloscopes, tape recorders, battery boxes, hand tools, PCs.

Equipment: grinders, ladders, forklifts, man‑lifts, and safety gear.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of electrical-related work experience.

Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical manuals.

Proficient with general repair tools and equipment.

Ability to work overtime and any shift as required.

Preferred Qualifications

3–5 years of technician experience with Solar turbine machinery products.

PLC controls experience.

Experience operating or testing Solar packages.

ASE certification, UTI, or similar certification.

Airframes and Powerplant (A&P) license.

Compensation & Benefits

Base rate ranges from $37.20 to $55.80 per hour, based on experience.
