Locum - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine Richmond, VA

Required Skills

• Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine or Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty training
• Proven expertise in amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and management of high-risk pregnancies
• Proficiency in fetal ultrasound, preferably with experience performing cerclage
• Strong understanding of managing complex conditions such as pre-eclampsia, growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, and congenital anomalies
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume practice with efficiency and professionalism

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
• Ability to perform obstetric procedures like vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Knowledge of current high-risk obstetric practices and guidelines

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship
• Minimum of 2-3 years of post-fellowship practice in a high-volume setting
• Active medical license in Virginia or ability to obtain licensure

Other Requirements

• Willingness to cover scheduled dates: 05/08-05/15, 05/16-05/22, 05/26-05/31, with flexible scheduling based on facility needs
• Credentialing estimated to take approximately 90 days
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to provide documentation and references as required
